Toilet problems
Toilet problems can happen at any age.
It may be that you are transferring your child from a potty to a toilet. Maybe you are having trouble getting your child sitting on the toilet. Perhaps your child has been fine, but suddenly seems to have taken a dislike to the toilet. You can find advice on my peeing in pants, or my pooping in pants page if this is something your child is doing. Always remember that the toilet may seem quite a scary thing to a child. It is large with a big hole that a child could imagine falling down. It also makes strange, loud noises! Some children can be scared of the noise. Others may feel insecure sitting on the toilet. Try to think what you could do to improve things and make your child feel more comfortable. If your child is too old for a potty, but still a little small for a full sized toilet, you may like to look at this boy toilet, or this girl toilet. They make an excellent transition from potty to toilet. If you prefer your child to use the toilet, try this child's toilet seat, which is fun, comfortable and secure. If your child is still a toddler, go to my pages on potty training for more advice and suggestions. Return from 'Toilet problems' to Homepage. |
