Silly Behavior QuestionCountry: Australia Comment: Hello. What a wonderful site! I would like to ask one silly behavior question. My daughter Emma is 4 years old. She always listens and follows instructions very well. She is patient, calm and very content. We always are told by the teacher and people how well she behaves. One of her teachers even said her comprehension skills are very high for her age. However this past two weeks only at her dance lesson she started silly behavior with another girl. Not bad but getting to the point of going on too long, not a moment silly. When I was watching her lessons I saw that the other girl always starts this silly behaviour around my daughter and Emma starts to follow (one of another mom caught that moment as well.) -As if this kids has special power for controlling my child. They became friendly and it was lovely. But it looks like continuing at play time - which I am not happy about. I asked Emma not to be silly in the class and she promised, yet she did again. That girl keeps following her and it got to the point Emma was very upset one stage. She has another theater class before this dance class but she is really great in this class. All children get along well and respect each other. I had a chat with the dance teacher to separate them if they were being too silly. And the teacher did separate them, and spoke to Emma not to be silly but not the other girl. I had a talk with that girl's mother also but she doesn't care at all. She said "oh Sarah really likes Emma." In this kind of case what kind of way do you think I should approach my daughter? We have another commitment so we can't change the date for the class and it seems like Sarah will be in the same class again next year. I think there would be a similar situation in the future so it is important for me to solve this problem before she starts school. Can you please give me some advice on my silly behavior question???
