This might sound obvious, but does your child definitely know the most important rules? There is no harm in going over them again, even if they do.
Keep the list short and simple, particularly for younger children or children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
A few do's and don'ts will do, e.g. DO tidy away one toy before you start playing with another. DO clear your plate away before leaving the table. DON'T leave your dirty clothes on the floor of your bedroom. We DON'T hurt each other.
