How to be better parents? That is a question we are often asked.

If our children were perfect we could then worry about the fact that we are not perfect parents! Until then you and your child need to understand that everyone makes mistakes sometimes. How boring would life be if we WERE all perfect!

There will still be times when you do not follow all your new resolutions and will behave in a way that you will regret. Try not to dwell on things, and move on. Your child will, faster than you think!

In the world of Fostering and Adoption the term 'good enough parents' is used. As it suggests, no-one is looking for perfection (they would have a long search!), simply people who can parent the children well, most of the time.
