Depression in teenagers
Depression in teenagers, just like at any other age, is an illness which gives feelings of hopelessness
and despair. These feelings can continue for a long time and prevent the person from living a normal, balanced life.
It is important to note that some of these examples, in isolation, do not indicate depression in teenagers . If your teen is displaying several of these symptoms, or just one of the last two, it is important to take it seriously . Talk to your teenager and consult your doctor on depression teen treatment. If your teen is unwilling to talk to you, your doctor may be able to refer her to a therapist. Do not ignore the problem, however uncommunicative your teenager has become. He needs your love and support, and he probably needs professional help to overcome his teen depression. Return from Depression in Teenagers to Parenting a Teenager. Return to Homepage. |
