Birthday party game for teenagers
Birthday party game for teenagers: Teenagers need to be kept entertained just as much as younger children. They may think that they like to just 'hang out' but even they can get bored with this after a while. As well as this, if there are people who don't know each other at the party, 'hanging out' can leave the shyer types out. You will need to think carefully about where the party takes place and how to arrange so it doesn't seem too much like a child's party. I have some good suggestions on my Free Party Games page. Games which involve some (innocent) physical contact will always be fun for teenagers, as they are starting to become interested in the opposite sex! Try Do the Hoola as a great ice breaker. "Truth or dare" can be fun for teenagers as well, although ground rules need to be established to ensure that there is a 'get out clause' if the dare is not suitable, or the demand for truth is too personal! Sit everyone in a circle and place a bottle or something else which will spin easily on the floor in the middle. Somebody spins the bottle and whoever it ends up pointing to is asked to choose Truth or Dare. Once they have chosen, someone else will ask them a question to which they have to tell the truth, or if they chose dare, someone proposes a dare for them to do. Usually this is something a little embarrassing, but as I said before, it is important to keep an eye on this to check that the dare is not unsuitable or unsafe. There are many more birthday party game for teenagers suggestions on my Party Games page, all of which I have tried either with children and teenagers who I teach, or with my own children (aged 8 and 14). Please feel free to contact me if you have other ideas and suggestions which have worked for you. I can then add them to this page for others to read. | ||
