Bedwetting Teenagers
Bedwetting teenagers can be tricky to tackle.
It is likely that your child has always been a bedwetter, but you never dreamed it would continue this long. It is also possible that your child rarely wet the bed but has started now. 3% of children aged 12 and over are bedwetters, and 1% are 18 and over. As you have now realised that your child falls into that very small percentage, you start to panic that they will never grow out of it! Don't worry - your teen almost certainly will, and meanwhile there are options to keep the problem private and under control. As parents, our anxiety was heightened when it turned out that our bedwetting child had not grown out of it by the time he reached his teens. We were told that he would grow out of it, but he hadn't - so what could we do next? The immediate concern was for the present. It was horrible, and embarrassing, for our teen to wake up in a wet bed. He was not confident going to a friend's house for a sleepover for fear of this happening and him being laughed at. Going away on school trips or camps were a nightmare, and he simply avoided them. We had read all the advice:
Finally we came across a homeopathic remedy: Be-Dry by Native Remedies. I was not convinced, as I haven't had much success with homeopathic remedies before. The one thing I did agree with was that it couldn't do him any harm! We decided to order it online and it arrived very quickly. The result? No wet beds, AT ALL, since he started taking it! We have practically forgotten that there was ever a problem. Desmopressin was never completely secure, our teen would still occasionally have an accident. With Be-Dry he never has. In the information given, it says that it may take some time before the tablets take effect on bedwetting teenagers. We were prepared to persevere for a while. However, for us it was instant! We were probably lucky, it may take a little time in others. We are all so relieved. Our son can now go on trips quite happily and we know that he is taking a natural remedy which will not damage his health. Maybe it won't work for everybody. I strongly recommend you try it for your bedwetting teenager. You just might find that this is the solution for you too. | ||
